FACEBOOK: Social Opium for a Digital Ghetto. You are the experiment!

I recently joined FB (Facebook) in August, in hopes of being able to share the work that I do for the Lord. I love the Word of the Lord, whether it be in the plain text of the Holy Script or by Bible Code matrices. I have written many articles; from “Faith Based” issues, to Biblical Commentary and Bible Code articles, declaring the Glory of the Lord and shouting His magnificence from the mountaintops!
Shortly after I had joined the Facebook Community and was “friended” over night by literally thousands of people, I found that I was soon sucked in to correcting much of the extremely bad doctrine from self-professed prophets, and FB preachers that twist and abuse the Word of the Lord. As they had no foundational proof of their erroneous doctrines, I felt compelled to supply scriptural references in an effort to help the “newer sheep” that had blindly accepted the words of these aforementioned people as “gospel truth.” I found this to be an extremely draining and daunting task.
The people who twisted scripture and posted lies (either knowingly or unknowingly), would often come up swinging, and were completely unable to back their claims with biblical citations, let alone practice any application of biblical hermeneutics and contextual exegesis. If you dared to disagree with them or question their reasoning, they immediately went into attack mode, opposed to adult-like dialogue.
I watched in complete horror as it turned into a digital bloodbath for me and many of my beloved brothers and sisters. It is truly a sign of the times, when we completely lack the ability to have civil dialogue and intellectual debate. I affectionately call those who have a complete meltdown, when you commit the grievous sin of simply not agreeing with them:
Snowflake Christians.
I realized something quite profound while deliberating for an entire month on whether or not I was going to completely pull the plug on FB, or just not interact with any posts at all: Facebook is truly a drug.
Facebook’s social media platform is highly addictive to billions of people. Many of my well-meaning brothers and sisters sent me messages, begging me not to go and said it was my duty not to leave my “post,” and that I must continue to let my light shine for the Lord– in the very dark digital world of FB. Often I had felt guilty for having this pressing desire to go. Ultimately, once I had realized that FB is Social Opium for a Digital Ghetto, it didn’t take me long to leave.
Sit and think about those words:
“FB is Social Opium for a Digital Ghetto.”
I am so glad that I listened to the Lord and unplugged from FB. My stress completely melted away. The oppressive chains fell to the floor. We are led to believe that using Satan’s own media against him, is the best way to fight back. The sad truth is that it only sucks the life out of you, and will rob any real joy from your life. It strives to enslave you in addictive chains of bondage.
I will continue to let my light shine for the Lord, but it will be in the physical world. That is where the battlefield truly lies! We shouldn’t stay behind the computer screen when the front-line is outside!
Often, the words of Yeshua (Jesus) run through my head: “Occupy until I come.” And occupy, I shall do. A good soldier stands their ground, and holds down the fort until their General gives them the orders to “Move out.” The battlefield is outside! That is where we are truly needed, after we have warred on our knees in prayer.
The Great Commission, Matthew 28:18-20:
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The early church did not just stay in one spot and argue with people. They got out there and proclaimed the Word of the Lord! I am hard pressed to imagine Peter or Paul sitting behind a smartphone or computer screen on FB, if these men were alive today. They would be out and about in the physical world, getting the job done.
Am I saying I think it’s evil to use the computer to write, read, blog, vlog, or fellowship with others? No. The problem however, lies in the addictive nature of social media platforms, including, but not limited to FB. It truly is a drug, that yields a fallacious sense of belonging or acceptance, and supplies many people a false spiritual high– causing them to have very little time left over for the Lord. The platform itself is almost worshiped, while the Lord Himself is shelved.
How much time do we spend in prayer on average? Five, Ten, Thirty minutes a day? An hour or two seems almost impossible to fit into our hectic schedules! Yet, we are instructed in 1 Thess. 2:17, to pray without ceasing.
Did you know that the average person checks their phone over 120 times a day? The bigger shocker is the amount of times we touch our smart device on a daily basis!
According to Network World, “We’re obsessed with our phones, a new study has found. The heaviest smartphone users click, tap or swipe on their phone 5,427 times a day, according to researcher Dscout.” The article goes on to further state, “That’s the top 10 percent of phone users, so one would expect it to be excessive. However, the rest of us still touch the addictive things 2,617 times a day on average. No small number.”
Wow! Did you see those staggering numbers?

And here comes the tough question… Who do you dedicate more time to? Facebook or the Lord? If your answer was Facebook, you may be an addict.

“I of course, know like everyone else who started it, when and how (so I thought). But what I saw was exactly what God wanted me to see. You know me Kara, you know how I am all about going back to the roots of everything, because its beginning is its roots, and the roots bear the fruits of it. It started out with Zuckerberg in college getting dumped by his girlfriend because he was a boring straight up nerd boy. He started getting drunk right away and heavily lusting on girls. He was not a ladies man so he sat behind a computer screen and started a secret site that could only be accessed by members he approved. He called the site: whoshotandwhosnot. He posted pictures he hacked from girls personal computers and posted their pics. He would put up a girls pic who was hot, and another girls pic next to it that was less than pretty. This site began to gain immense popularity. It encouraged lusting and perversion par excellence.
I did not stay to watch it any longer because of total debauchery and constant cussing. Tons of sexual garbage. Well, so I thought, “There you have it Joanie, there is the root. The author of FB is the enemy, and no wonder Christians have been getting booted off and heavily censored. The enemy wants it back.” It was the enemy’s from the beginning and has its roots in filth and antichrist hell and nothing has changed. It’s Satan’s property and dominion. Christians made a choice to become members of it because we all thought we could dismiss its dark side and say to ourselves, “Well, that may be so that there is a world of evil on it, but there is also the Lord working on it.”
Kara, think about it. At the tap of a finger we can access the worse porn, satanism, witchcraft, and every other filth under the sun and we compromise and say, “Well, at least we use if for fellowship,preaching and sharing the Gospel.” I really came to my senses. I saw it so clearly.
We are okay to share a site that is owned and operated by an apostate Jew named Zuckerberg. It is authored by the devil. Satan gave Zuckerberg “all the kingdoms of this world and the glory of them” for the price of his soul. FB is more than just a drug. It is empowered and fueled by evil forces that make no apologies for Christ-hating censorship. Many people that have once thundered their faith and courageous, mighty love for Jesus Christ have laid down their thunder for the sake of not being booted off this antichrist forum.
I don’t care how you spell it. It’s like the enemy has tricked us, allured us, seduced us and tempted us into a slow death, so to speak. He offered us our own plot of ground in his digital kingdom, with his blessing of posting anything we want about the Lord to get us hooked on it. He has gathered millions upon millions of people from all over the world to offer them, sell them a piece of digital real estate. Then when everyone became addicted to it, he then began to attack them. Even using brother against brother all in the name of God. And the very terrifying thing, is that now you have millions of millions of Christians who have bowed the knee to this satanic idol, rather to renounce it and turn away from it. It is time that will be accounted for. Your statistics that you found prove that this digital age has now captured the entire world and controls them. FB is truly coined well by you, in that it is a social opium in a digital ghetto.”

Dear Sis Joanie, thank you kindly for your response to this powerful piece written by Sis Kara.
I must say that I’m very concerned by some of the language you used as you describe Zuckerberg. You stated, “…by an apostate Jew named Zuckerberg. It is authored by the devil….”
Why do you find it necessary to mention that he is a “Jew”? Oftentimes within this digital ghetto, we misunderstand what a person is saying because we can’t see facial expressions or hear voice intonations. As I read your comment, I interpreted a tone of angst against Jewish people. I don’t bring this up to be petty or argumentative, but I believe I’ve heard this from you before.
If you will be so kind, please explain your choice of words here.

Sis Pam, even Yeshua told John, in Revelation (Chizayon) “they are those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they’re Jews, but are not”. More than once Yeshua used strong words to denounce those He was rebuking. Words like “whited sepulchres full of dead men’s bones”. John the Baptist referred to some as “generation of vipers”. The trouble with the likes of Zuck is that he’s sold out to the devil’s false dreams of wealth, influence, and self agrandissement. He like Gates, Brin, and so many others who’ve achieved great success and wealth, have been “accepted” (they think so) in the elite circles, and are completely on board with the NWO agenda. Wow Kara and Joanie, so prolific! I completely agree with both of you. So now, as not to lose you forever since there are no phone booths around, no yellow pages that accurately list city by city where friends are, please don’t leave without saying goodbye or where to reach you via email. I feel a bit behind the times due to what God delivered me from and to. I was hacked when I first tried to access fb in 2009. I wasn’t responsible for trying again two years ago because I was dying in Satan’s pit in glass valley, silicon valley, on the literal sea of glass. I witnessed some exponential supernatural things while dying in a corner of the world no one realises is where the beast has risen! What my father and I witnessed, what Jesus Christ did and revealed is unbelievably HUGE. So much so I gave up every last possession I had, five estates. Several million in things, my life’s work writing, my life’s work of photography. My mother’s life work of photography every last thing but for one suitcase to do what God asked of me, go to Israel and tell the children THE TRUTH. Not MY truth, a truth he gifted me to share. However hard it may be or become. Who will believe it? Who will receive it? It’s not for me to fret. When God calls, when we know what time it really is, we must answer or the blood of others will be on our hands.
I guess I know I’m a die hard. There is so much to witness and to learn about Satan’s lies here on fb. These sites, goo gle, ya hoo, you tube, alphabet are all run by real satanists. OF course it’s a weapon of war. We are engaged in a real spiritual war. But I share a bit of what God taught me of this hour because I was almost unconscious with 20 ER VISITS over three months to Satan’s literal pit, a Masonic hospital of death in San Mateo county and the research arm of our USA government literally tried to kill me. Stanford hospital took me off 26 years of pain meds cold turkey and not one hospital would help me WHILE I WAS DYING in a state of real fight for life. In the first eleven NIGHTS and DAYS I slept six hours on day four. Jesus Christ said I had two of the longest days. He showed me judgement, creation, the kingdom of heaven, how we live when we die, what time it is, who what, where, when and how and WHY. Most will call me crazy. They said the same about my king whom I knelt before at 3 1/2 years old. I’ve been with Jesus Christ a jubilee. I’ve suffered 52 years of LONG SUFFERING 26 were emotional, the next 26 unrelenting physical pain. Being healed while the world was trying to kill me being raised when they wanted me dead, being shown on HIS CROSS who I am to the kingdom was a defining moment of my life and all the satanists and freemasons and wickedness in high places now know who I am and I’m fine with that. I was told while dying the very first night, WHY GOD was bringing judgement and when. People say no man knows the hour or the day but I am not a man. My testimony is lifelong. It’s undeniable. I never knew I was called. I never ever knew until Jesus Christ took my dying flesh, saved my life in a wave of miracles and showed me it was literally TIME to know my enemy. We are God’s almighty ELECT. We are the warriors who see the dying churches, our fallen brothers and sisters, the wounded lost, the forsaken, the abominable! We know who, what, where, BECAUSE WE SEE AND HEAR. If your light can shine a thousand times brighter in this obsessed evil beastly reign on social media and reach to those who can’t see, won’t hear because they are convicted in their silent living rooms that they are enslaved to isn’t this now the largest table we have? Does it astonish you that USA population growth is now down to 4% from 33% in the 1890s? I’d never have known this without the gift of Jesus Christ leading me. It’s the echo of Bill gates ted talk about taking his ridiculous equation of world population and our carbon footprint to zero. If we just took one number to zero. An algebraic equation. So if we take one number to zero, all the numbers go to zero. Well, four percent growth is a staggering reality of where we are! Almost extinct. So I tell you, this SPIRITUAL WAR NEEDS WARRIORS. ON THE FIELD AND IN THE DARK. It is your light shinning after all. Your wisdom and righteousness that if it saves one SATANIST out in the world, well like dominoes one by one by one by one. God is never going to return your love void. Your kindness, your patience, your virtue is the light of THIS WORLD. No matter where you are Satan’s minions are wandering. Don’t write off completely the current social forum. Satan went into his pit in December 2015. God showed me and told me. Satan could not rise on the sea of glass without being put down. I will gladly share my testimony if you want to know the things of this hour which I must share here in Israel. Don’t give up just because we know what is attacking us. Perhaps spend less time teaching others, reaching others. Those who want truth are searching for it. You know who is debating and shilling your spirit. Just move on. Everyone walks around with their hypnotized look and a bright light of death inches from their eyes while they’re literally going blind. The great commission is wherever the enemy IS, to STAND be not moved or shaken by the evil, hate, lies deception. Stand doing all you can to deliver souls! The demons must leave when you say get out, leave her, leave him. We have this much power. It’s going to be stressful in the world. We’re not of it. But with two to three billion souls at the table throughout the day, this is a mighty voice box and a great table for your lampstand! Don’t let Satan or his workers have the last word. Not now, not ever. The love you give destroys his wicked works after all. THE LOVE YOU share heals hearts and minds! That’s the power you have over these worldly beasts. They can’t touch you and they’re afraid you’ll stay because they’re helpless against what you STAND FOR!

Sis Lisa, bravo and kudos to your perserverance. It doesn’t matter if these wicked ones know who you are – it’s who YOU know that matters and like you said He’s the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to whom every knee shall bow including all the devils, demons and Satan (Heylel ben Shachar) himself. It behooves all of us to ensure we’re submitted to Him who can turn even the worst circumstances, sins, errors, faults, etc into something good. That’s why I like the song by the Gaithers about how He turned all their misfortunes etc into something beautiful something good. I’m sure both Doc Marquis, and Dr. Bill Schnoebelen don’t lose any sleep over the enemy forces arrayed against them because they know if God is for us who can be against us. Bill at one time was personally, face to face anointed by the devil, and yet Jesus (Yeshua) still won him to His kingdom and delivered him from all the demons, sicknesses, and sins.

Hi Lisa Maria, I read your post, agree with you, hope that you are doing well . You are 100% correct – the evil one has NO POWER. We say GO and he goes. I agree abt FB is an addiction at the same time it can become a LIFE SAVER. My poss SAVES LIVES and FB might just be the key to do it. HE will turn the world around. It is coming. HE told me 22 years ago: “Write THIS. GOD ALWAYS WINS. WHY DON’T YOU GIVE IN?” I was writing to a Jewish man, as a matter of fact, HIS CHOSEN (not frozen) MAN from the Tribe of JUDAH but with Yeshua in his heart – . Since I was totally sold out for the LORD I had to do HIS bidding and thought that message was for THE MAN… The the LORD filled in the gap – IT WAS FOR YOU (meaning me) to do what HE says. Obviously Joanie saw the same film I did called The Social Network (I think LOL). By then I was already off FB having been only on a few months. I had the same experience Kara had in that I saw people seemed to always take the worst possible “take” on what I’d post, twist it, and start a virtual argument. I decided “who needs this?” . I note that you’re the second one today to post from Thessalonians – Mike Basham being the other who posted on 2nd Thess. tho. I shared with Laurel and Mike that I came across a scripture today which having read before it didn’t register like it did today. Today if jolted me wide awake and into realisation. It’s one that I’ve adopted but should be on every billboard – from Galatians 4:16 “Am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?”

Basically what’s said here is true. I too will leave FB one day. However for now it’d cause far too much trouble in my day to day life to go off it. I can just imagine being approached in places i frequent asking why I left etc etc. But it is digital crack cocaina for a online ghetto for sure.
Whats more Christian’s are some of the worst people on facebook at times. Go figure. I am not a saint that’s for sure, but what i’ve encountered has left me speechless. Err sometimes.

I completely understand. I struggled a little with those issues as well. And I didn’t want to let anyone down. I realized real quick though, that even though what I was doing wasn’t unholy, it ended up being a huge chunk of my day. That time could have been better spent with the Lord.
And yes, I also agree, Brother Jason…. Some of the behavior is appalling! Truly a ghetto in there.

Bless you Kara….as long as I still have contact with you I don’t care. I’m totally disillusioned with how nasty Christians…..or people that call themselves Christians can be. I struggled with that myself today.
Thankful that the opression has gone for you with the leaving of facebook. I will stay because it’s how I keep in touch with friends all over the world. However I’m certainly taking a step back from the minute to midnite facebook site. I am thankful that Tony & co have put such strong guidelines in place for the minute to midite website.

Kara, your words are truth. My biggest frustration is all the false teachings being promoted by wolves who are defrauding the people, all the while living in sin and then pretending to qualify as any kind of bishop. I am beginning to believe that the so called remnant does not want truth. Bless you for your devotion to JESUS Christ. You are one of the best things I found through Face Book. You bless my soul.

Great article! I agreed with you before you left FB. I should go, too.
I would like to add to Joanie’s comment. I know a lot about the inception of social media and earlier, ie the beginnings of the internet. Yes, it was built on the backs of IMPs (InterMessage Protocols). Before modern social media, I was on e-mail distribution lists. Anytime a message was sent to a defunct e-address, you’d get an error message known as a “mailer daemon.” And on and on. For the most part, the internet businesses were originally pornography sites and gambling/gaming sites, until Amazon and others came along in the “dot com boom.”
Yes, these things are addictive—I should know by now! And often expensive. More than that, underscored by recent events, there are spiritual underpinnings. Oh, and many of those professing Christians who wasted your time with their “doctrinal error” are not Christians at all. They are squatters and trolls, usually with ties to some variant of Paganism. They know what they’re doing.
So, anyway, great article.

Seems like we need to disconnect from the social medias. Let’s focus on our morning and evening sacrifice of prayer and give our time to who it belongs to, our kodosh Yeshua. There is much to prepare for in these last days. We must know His voice.

Excellent post – glad u r doing better. I have seriously thought about the same issues – I stay because I see my grandchildren there as we are 5 hrs apart. Must admit I have not been bothering with AMTM and glance at it every day but don’t want it all in my head. It is too concentrated and quite negative but I haven’t killed it yet. I don’t have time to watch vids and hate YouTube! I may be Zuckerberg’s nemesis! All in all I agree with you except I’m a bit of a news hound so spend a bit of time on news items.
I was getting too sidetracked and anxious but my remedy was not replying to posts that I didn’t initiate. I wonder how many workplace hours are going west every day!

Very good article Kara! Faebook defintely has very negative things attaached to it, and I think Christians do need to do a check on how it is affecting their spiritual lives. There have been many times I knew I had to step away to re-group and consider what effect it was having on my life. Certainly it isn’t for everyone, and what you said about the Apostles not sitting at a conputer really made me pause. !! God bless you sister!
